Budget and borrowing reforms

Governments need to start making detailed results of public spending fully available to the public, (or more widely known, if it is already) so that elections can be based more on the basis of provable good financial management, specifically on reducing borrowing.

We could also consider publishing accounting projections as part of a party manifesto. Politicians need to understand that they are working for the electorate and therefore should actually be accountable, rather than the public works to fill the coffers for them to sprinkle around like magic fairy dust on their own personal vanity plans
