Abolish Costs of Television in Hospitals

Many hospitals use outside companies to administer the hospital TV service for patients. When we think of how many of our pensioners, and those living in poverty, spend time in hospital. Many probably don’t even possess a mobile phone, and many probably do not have any visitors.
Therefor the television is their only source of comfort, their only method to pass the time while spending time in the hospital. Charges for this service can be varied across hospitals, although somewhere in the region if £8 per day.
Then we look at prisoners. Convicted criminals. I am sure we all have seen videos and pictures of “lavish” prison cells complete with electrical items from kettles to games consoles and televisions. The use of such totally free, with absolutely no charge.
This is seriously wrong and we need to ensure, pensioners first and foremost, patients receive far better treatment than convicted criminals.
Therefor ALL hospital TV services should be abolished for pensioners as a starting point. We owe it to our pensioners for their lives creating the country we live in today.

Its the privatization of the NHS by the back door, you have free tv in prisons for the people who break the rules and i an sure there is free tv for illegal immigrants in hotels, why treat the sick and vulnerable any differently
