I know that many here are very skeptical of economic unions and the like (and rightfully so following the whole EU omnishambles).
But what are peoples thoughts on creating greater ties with ANZAC. Or our ex-colonies.
If UK and ANZAC were a union it would be the 3rd largest economy with the 4th largest population. It would own huge resources in the Australian outback and Canadian wilderness.
With cheap international shipping flights and digital / internet integration this should be more easily manageable than last time.
I would propose a very close union but with some very strict rules to make it tenable.
limited/highly taxed foreign investments, all countries must invest within the union alone, moving money out of the union should be very hard to do remittance tax. Basically imperial preference
free trade and possibly travel between the union, but very limited trade and travel outside of the union.

Autarky is encouraged, it should be that so much as is possible the amount of imports to the union is near 0, only for luxuries and materials that are unavailable in the union. Exporting is fine but the internal market should be the first port of call
autonomy in the union, there should be a lot of autonomy within the union between countries.
some mediating layer of governance, I would say that this should be headed by the king along with some representatives for each nation personally I would prefer that this was hereditary but if not someone who is directly tied to the success of the country they are representing.
Every country can have different currencies, but they cannot be fiat backed but a overarching gold backed anlgo currency should exist that is legal tender in each country.
no petro dollar, no linking to the current financial paradigm, petrodollar ties us to the effects of the US money printer and needs to be avoided at all costs.
Anglo-Alliance is what I have dreamed of, CANZUK would be a fantastic modern day Bloc, but we just need to get rid of the socialist fools.
I did start posting about the greater Anglo-American Alliance (AAA) which would include all known Anglo majority nations/well known British installed colony nations of which we resettled people to properly, not so sure now about South Africa though with our Boers, but they need saving, that’s for sure.
Yes I was thinking on the inclusion of the US, but in the end its too culturally liberal for a lasting CANZUK block.
The King is already head of all of these nations, and combined they other nations only have a GDP of $7trn and a population of 150mn while the US has GDP of $23.4trn and a population of >300mn.
They would dominate it and basically run it.
I would love to have them as an ally but not as a ruler.
Very good input, it has been some time since I dared to look at our current GDP, but this is a good input.
Well, this is something that would be worthwhile pushing, and in doing so, there would likely be some later deals with each other that would include a visa-like shuffle system where we can migrate within this CANZUK bloc. I would want a complete removal of woke and a intense injection of skilled labour, investing in our people, maintaining a sovereignty of each bloc member though, but truly spearheading our technology and power forward.
An Anglo-Alliance of CANZUK is a dream right now, but not impossible.
Personally I don’t mind a tighter union where the nations are about on the level as the countries in the UK.
But that would have to be after large walls and barriers are put up around the union making it more of a country. There would need to be a purge of the liberals and progressives from all positions of power within these countries.
Don’t tease me with the thought of purging liberals and progressives, I YEARN FOR IT IN MY HEART AND SOUL.
Past me being silly, yet also serious at the same time, I agree though, but I am also an advocate for having a constitution that cannot be denied, written in stone, taught in school, brought up throughout the adult life, akin to the US constitution as we all know, and I do mean returning guns to the people. If we follow good British behaviour, we will not be likely to harm each other if we remove radicals from our land of foreign cultures, and perhaps we can have a responsibility system to maybe allow a certain percentage to own guns as part of a handshake, I’d like to make it a cultural addition, where people can be given honour by taking on this cultural role within their constituency, a kind of people’s militia but with honourary flare to it. Past that and back to topic, yes, purge nonsensical fools who don’t add but hinder progress, and I am up for the coalition to be more like a single country in its own way. I will let you paint the layout on the day we could get that going.
Yep. I’d say UK, Aus, Canada, New Zealand works well.
Would want it balanced so that even vs the UK the other members felt powerful. I’d probably go with some sort of “Commonwealth council” where the UK had 2 votes, Canada had 1 vote, Australia had 1 vote, and New Zealand had 1 vote. That way if all the rest were against the UK they could get their way, but if the UK could get one of the others on side, it could win.
Also I’d name it " The High Commonwealth", since CANZUK is ugly.
