End Council Tax holiday during imprisonment

At present, if your property is empty because you are in prison, you are exempted from paying Council Tax for the duration of your incarceration.

This practice should be stopped, and the convict’s assets used to pay the CT bill, on top of a contribution to the costs of imprisonment (see my previous post) until the assets remaining reach a fair (very low) level.

I much prefer the removal of council tax for all.

But you are correct that this is a strange exemption.
