Starting point, after separation, should be “court advised” alternate weekends and mid week overnight contact. This should be conveyed to any parents who submit an application into the Family Court, with the Court responding with a date AND an advisory that of parents don’t agree prior to that date, then the Court will such an Order, unless their is evidenced reasons not too.
I agree with this however it doesn’t even scratch the surface of the problems faced in our society predominantly by Fathers.The Family Courts, the Social Services and Police protocol need to be seriously examined. They are frequently being weaponised by women who need only tell the police that she is worried to have the male removed from his own house and given bail conditions that prevent him from going back to his house or speaking to his partner. All too often malicious mothers make weak and false allegations to get the Farther out of their’s and their children’s lives. All they need do is refuse to cooperate with child arrangements and the Father is powerless to do anything. He will be legally tied up while she establishes a pattern of primary care which will be used by the family courts to justify a marginalised relationship between him and his children.
The social services will advise the mother to do things that are not in the children’s interest, they coach the mother on what to say and do to make it as difficult as possible for the father to participate in the children lives. Often resulting in the mother fleeing to another city and secretly changing the children’s school without the consent of their Daddy.
Often the mother that starts the allegations gets locked in to a protocol that makes it difficult for her to change her mind or backtrack. This system incentivises and coerces women in to destroying their families and ruin their children relationship with their father. Why pay for marriage counselling when you can just get legal aid! This system has destroyed so many lives for so long, always in secret, unaccountable courts. It has to be stopped!
The social services, government agencies (like CAFCASS), the family courts, and police advisers and decision makers are saturated with ideologues, man hating feminists! The degree to the abuse of men in this country is unfathomable. If you have not heard any accounts of the many, many Fathers who fall victim to this system I strongly recommend you do a small amount of research, you won’t believe your ears but you will find the same story again and again.
This suggestion seriously needs elaborating and given more attention it’s a grave and serious issue that gets absolutely no attention, even among conservative groups. I would argue it is one of the most heinous human rights violations perpetrated by this country. It’s been happening for so long with so little attention it has become engrained in our culture. It’s a sickness, it affects people’s attitudes to relationships, marriage, and childbirth. It’s at the core of the breakdown of our society.
Quite simply - families need Fathers.
