We should undo many of the modern “improvements” to the legal system that took away core English liberties.
e.g. we should restore double jeopardy, restore the presumption of innocence in all cases, the right to face your accuser, the absolute right to silence etc.

As I understand it, double jepoardy has never been a thing in the UK and makes no sense when we allow for private prosecutions.
It was part of English law for 800 years… Double jeopardy - Wikipedia
The Americans got it from us. Tony Blair abolished under the pretext of the Stephen Lawrence murder (because prosecuting the murderers of one black person in the name of “anti-racism” was more important than an ancient liberty the English people had enjoyed since time immemorial)

That was an interesting read… Honestly, I’m not sure how I feel about it just because, for instance, if I were a serial killer, I could get my mate to prosecute me, completely blunder the trial, and be protected from facing justice for those crimes.
I also rather agree that one should not be immune from punishment due to jury tampering or witness intimidation. I feel like double jepoardy only works if you also have a clean hands doctrine.
I like the right to the presumption of innocense. It should be illegal for anyone to report the name of a defendant until they have been found guilty. Look at the way a false acusation destroyed Cliff Richards career.
However, on "undoing the modern “Improvements” this is something that many politicians of the past have railed against and have come up against aggressive party wips and a very slow to assist Civil service. Both need to be improved before this act be made into policy.
