Reducing fraud in the benefits system

Engage with evolving technology to create a method of identifying and confirming the identity of each individual claimant of social security funds. (The Home office and policing use ‘Livescan’ to identify persons with criminal records (or confirm no criminal record) from fingerprints).

A similar or identical system, not aligned to the above example, could deal with multi-identity claims fraud thus saving the tax payer monies.

To claim initial benefits the claimant voluntarily gives a finger(s) and or palm print to be scanned and image stored. No voluntary image, no claim.

At 6 monthly anniversary (or other suitable time lapse) claimant must attend benefits office to confirm still in UK and payments continue.
If adopted, anyone making fraudulent multiple identity claims will either be identified through matching images or will desist making claims in the knowledge their crimes have or will be detected.

The potential saving to the tax payer and treasury outweighs, in my opinion, any claim of human rights abuses.

Personally I prefer the reverse taxes policy, that Milton Friedman put forward. It Ties up many issues into one, it removes all benefits and minimum wages and in return incentivises work as you never are in a point where not working will reduce the mount of money you have. See below his explanation.

It basically simplifies it making there only one tax/benefits system and reduces complexity and therefore areas that can be exploited. The more simple the system the easier to monitor and govern.

That being said I am very wary of digital ID.

Yeah, digital ID would either have to be severely limited or done differently. There is too much in the air about digital ID and we should be hesitant whilst globalists have some power still.
