Require the BBC to produce positive depictions of British culture and history

It is undeniable that the British Broadcasting Corporation holds a heavy bias against Great Britain itself and uses its influence to undermine us.
Let us not forget their recent reimaginings of literary classics, which they found to be politically unpalatable.

And how does the BBC teach British history to children? They adapted the Horrible Histories books written by Terry Deary. Deary himself says: “The British Empire, which I loathe with a passion, wasn’t won with courage but with the machine gun."
The BBC carries out deliberate attacks on our national image. It is a propaganda station promoting the suicide of the United Kingdom.
Imagine if this were completely reversed. Imagine the BBC creating sweeping, historical epics of Alfred the Great, Nelson and Wellington. Imagine faithful adaptions of British literature without a sinister agenda against our existence. This is what the national broadcaster must be mandated to produce.

“It is a propaganda station promoting the suicide of the United Kingdom.”
Yep, and it is sickening. This is what a “progressive” secular liberalism does to any organisation, it makes it rot from within over time and spread, with its ideologies that even Trump outed and said will help mutilate children as they push a sense of not belonging.
This is now the BBC pushing disenfranchisement among the indigenous British people, the English, Welsh, Scottish, and Irish.
We would need real historians directing these shows to celebrate the history of the United Kingdom and Ireland. It is owed to us because our ancestors gave blood for our nations, to fight for our rights over the centuries, so yes, let us have as historically accurate shows as we can get, without adding woke nonsense.

Totally agree. It is not just the BBC. It is all institutions and NGO’s that are pushing this agenda. Not to mention some of the global corporations would not be fair to the above.

Stopped watching and recording “Live TV” in April 2018 after watching the Bolshevik Broadcast Corporation’s coverage of BREXIT. With NETFLIX, Amazon Prime, Apple TV, YouTube and GB NEWS on-line who needs terrestrial TV or to pay the BBC Licence Fee:thinking::+1:t2::sunglasses:

Unsure if you have seen it or not, but there is a discussion being put through about if people watch Netflix, then they are to be included into “needing” a TV license.
It is so insufferable and petty. Know your rights regarding this license fee nonsense, and be ready to counter any advances with filing a harassment right back at them for trying to force you to have it, but just watch what gets approved, and if so, Netflix might have to be cut.
In one view, might get people out and about more, so that they make communities to make connections, advocate to abolish the license fee after some time, blah blah.

I saw discussion of that. At the very least, it shows they’re becoming desperate for funding. I’ll be optimistic and say this is a hint toward the propaganda networks’s coming downfall. I suspect the licence fee will became a mandatory tax that even people who don’t own a television must pay before the current Labour majority reaches its end.
The rumours of Labour cracking down on social media companies make me wonder if we’ll be subjected to a sanitised replacement of X/Twitter someday. Taxpayer funded, of course.

It is proven that the BBC has been funded by a lot of different places and thus making them bias and not fit for purpose .
They should be neutral and report the news as others do , defunded by the people and run on adverts like everyone else is.
They should also be neutral politically and do away with the wokery .

I think we should sell it off lock stock and barrel it’s no longer or if ever a national treasure. Once before it was infiltrated by left wing activists it might’ve had a purpose. I’d be pleased to rub their noses in it by selling it off to a regulated privately funded entity of the British Isles. Make it a prophet making organisation instead of a robbing one. Once we’ve sold it we might utilise the money obtained for getting justice for the children profoundly damaged by peadophiles in their ranks.

as the old saying goes unless an institution is explicitly and constitutionally right wing it will eventually become left wing.

An inevitable fate, but I feel that the public Overton Window is automatically moving to the right, away from the marxist Gov, boy am I glad to that happening.

Each day I would want to guess a definite 100 people get radicalised against the Gov in our favour. The BBC will have to engage in this and read the country’s vibe if they want to survive, but considering the stances they have taken, I would say that quite a large portion of the BBC is not White-British, let alone conservative.

No need, just scrap it. There’s enough content out there by now for people to choose from, some of it very much in support of British culture and history. Why bother having a national broadcaster any more?

Just scrap it. It does nothing but harm these days.

It’s a state socialist organisation. It bullies people into regularly sending TV Licensing updates, masquerading as a “TV Licensing” organisation (when it’s really just the BBC being a bully), despite people having absolutely no obligation (as far as I understand it) to interact with TV Licensing when they don’t have a TV, just as people don’t have to interact with any fishing license department if they’re not fishing.

The BBC is corrupt, was bound to become corrupt, is working contrary to British society, and should be abolished.

Not sold. The name is too powerful, and can be used for destruction. It should be shut down.

The BBC still has good name recognition globally - it’s an established brand. We should keep it but change its governance and mission to promote British culture and heritage in a positive manner. The same goes for BBC news.

The TV license should also be abolished. Instead, let’s just add it to general taxation as a culture tax - this is more honest and upfront instead of trying to sneak it in with spurious reasons like whether you own a TV.

Actually I do agree with you. When I said sold, was so annoyed with them I just wanted rid, however on reflection I let my frustration speak.

How about they make an honest documentary about the British Empire. Instead of just focusing on conquering and colonialism, they should show how much benefit the British Empire brought to the rest of the world. There’s plenty to speak of, but this is all just conveniently ignored these days.

Netflix and Sky are not any better.
