Road Works by Services & their Maintenance

For years, I’ve watched our roads deteriorate, riddled with potholes. From my perspective as a layman, it seems that a significant portion of the damage occurs in areas previously worked on by service providers. I believe a law should be enacted to hold these companies accountable for the quality of their repairs for the lifespan of the road. This would discourage subpar workmanship, ensure higher standards in our infrastructure, and reduce the financial burden on local councils tasked with fixing recurring damage. In my area, the water services set a great example with their high-quality work—other service providers could certainly take a lesson from them.
