The United Kingdom and tbh Europe as a whole has suffered significantly from the reluctance to tackle the question on ethnicity, be that because of a misunderstanding of the 2nd world war, or a fear that such a discussion can open the doors to more nefarious viewpoints. We find ourselves in a position where we have to grasp at “British values” something that if we’re all honest that is only ever brought up when trying to include non natives in our grand narrative regardless if their friends or opposition two native Brits will not refer to themselves as British within conversation.
Fundamentally Britain was 95% ethnically native in the early 90’s and this change has occurred in the lifespan of some dog breeds. The lie that its always been like this doesn’t work and only fuels a type of radicalism that sees the world in a binary where society can either be a multi cultural hellhole or one that is 100% native and pure.
Civic nationalist need to drop their value based identity in favour of moderate ethnic position one which see the question of demographics as proportions and preferences not one of shared values.
Reluctance to pursue this path opens us up to an alien population pre 90’s having an oversized say on the future trajectory of the country which has had a homogenous populations for close to 1000 years realistically, making an ethnic confrontation unavoidable.
The tolerance shown in this country even it’s evident expression in the widely accepted notion of a shared value based system is based on the established ethnic security of the English, Welsh, Scottish and, Northern Irish. Disrupt this and cause insecurity within these ethnic groups will only lead to the racial radicalism many civic nationalist claim to oppose such radicalism doesn’t allow for the nuances which creates those open tolerant societies.
